Our teacher workshops focus on teaching the teacher about biomedical issues, in both classroom and lab settings. Scientists working in the field talk about their research and how it translates into new medicines and therapeutic treatments. Teachers take lessons back to their own classrooms, along with a greater awareness of life science career opportunities for their students.
Workshops are scheduled throughout the year, and they can also be scheduled upon request. The workshops are FREE. They include lunch, a curriculum manual, a curriculum CD, and other classroom handouts/materials. Many also include presentations by veternarians and scientists, tours of research laboratories and animal housing facilities.
